Favourite Haircare Products!

Looking after and treating my hair is something I really enjoy. As I have balayage which is treated quite regularly, I like to make sure that I’m using the right products to compliment the style. I’ve been through a range of shampoos and conditioners, trying to find one that I really like the feel of and the way it makes my hair feel, so I thought I’d make a list of some of my favourites.

One of my favourite haircare products is the L’Oréal Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner. This is one that I will always have in my bathroom, as my mum loves it too! The actual product contain UVA/UVB sun protection which can help to maintain the colour of your hair, and prevent it from fading. I know that some products can be really damaging to your hair, but I’ve found that this particular set helps keep the colour looking fresh which also means you don’t need to keep colouring your hair too often, as we know that it can be quite expensive to maintain. I usually purchase these from Superdrug at a cost of £8.00, although they often have promotions available where you can either get them half price or BOGOF.

Next up we have the TRESemmé Colour Revitalise Shampoo and Conditioner. One of the reasons that I love this product is that you can buy them in huge bottles which feel like they last you forever! They can protect and maintain your hair colour for up to 40 washes, which is approximately about 10 weeks (depending on if you wash your hair every other day, which I tend to do). Not only does this help to maintain your colour, but I love how soft my hair feels afterwards. The only downside is that I sometimes feel like this product can make my hair feel greasier a lot faster than usual, but that could also be down to the amount I’m using as I tend to always use more conditioner than needed. The big bottles of these will cost you £10.98 in total from Superdrug, but you can purchase smaller versions for a lot less.

My absolute favourite product has to be the L’Oréal Hair Expertise Pure Colour Shampoo and Conditioner. As you can probably tell, the L’Oréal haircare products really do me well. This product not only treats coloured hair, but dry hair too which is a must for me! I just love how soft and silky my hair feels after washing it, especially by using the conditioner to moisturise the ends of my hair. I really like the smell of it as well, and I’ve noticed that my hair continues to carry the scent for a while afterwards which is always a bonus. My colour lasts a lot longer than usual with this one, but I usually find it hard to get my hands on this product because there are always great deals on and they sell out so quickly! They price at approximately £12.58 total from Superdrug, but I feel as though they are definitely worth the money and my hair thanks me for it!

Moving away from shampoo and conditioners, my most used hair product of all is the Batiste Dry Shampoo. I’m yet to have found a scent from this range that I really like, but I’m always up for suggestions so let me know what ones are your favourites! But the reason I do love this product is that I find it really does help to remove the greasiness/dirt from my hair. I’ll generally apply this 2 days after I’ve washed my hair (so the day I’m due to wash it). My hair gets greasy very quickly, so this is a lifesaver when I don’t have time to wash it properly. I find that when my hair looks dirty and I use this, it instantly looks better with only a few sprays on the roots. The white colour from the spray blends into your hair very quickly after running it through with your fingers, and I carry one with me wherever I go because you never know when you’ll need it! I usually buy these from Boots or Superdrug at about £3.00 and there are so many different types to choose from. I haven’t yet tried the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner from this range, but let me know if you have and what you think of it.
