I’ve always suffered badly with my lips. They either get too dry, or they get all cut and sore. It’s safe to say that I’ve been through my fair share of lip products, and I thought I would share a few of my favourites with you.
Lush – Bubblegum Lip Scrub:
Whenever I have very dry lips, they will start to flake and the skin will be peeling off. This is when this lip scrub comes in handy. I apply a very small amount and scrub over lips, which helps to remove the dead skin that may be flaking away. It doesn’t hurt when scrubbing the skin off, it actually feels quite soothing. This particular scrub tastes amazing as well, so you don’t need to worry about having a horrible taste on your lips. I love this product because it really does help with my lips, but the only thing I will say is that the scrub will get everywhere. It’s easily wiped off as it is only sugar, but it’s still a pain when it goes all over your clothes. Either way, I would still recommend this product, particularly if you do suffer from dry and chapped lips. You can purchase this either online or in store at Lush, and it costs £5.95, which I think is such a good value for money as it can last a long time.
Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm:
I first came across this product when I was on my way to Lanzarote, as they were selling it on the plane. It’s one of the best lip products I’ve ever found, and it also has several different uses. You can apply it to your dry skin, your lips and, as you may have guessed from the name, your nipples (which I imagine is perfect for newbie mothers)! For me, it’s perfect for my lips because once I have scrubbed away the dead skin, I can apply this over my lips to really make them feel soft, and they look glossy too! It’s definitely worked wonders for me, because it helps to make my lips feels soft and smooth. You can buy this from feelunique or the Dr. Lipp website for £12.00. Although the product is quite small in size, it does have multiple uses as mentioned before and it will last you a long time (at least it does for me as I only use it on my lips).
Nivea Soothe and Protect Lip Balm:
This is my handy little lip balm that I carry everywhere with me! It’s always in my coat pocket incase my lips are feeling particularly dry and they need a little bit of TLC. Again, I can apply this once I’ve used my lip scrub or even if you want to give your lips a bit of a shine, but you don’t want to apply any gloss, this is the perfect product. It also helps to prevent your lips from chapping, if you use it on a regular basis. It also is made with Vitamin E and UV filters, which can help care and protect your lips in really cold, or really hot, weather conditions. You can buy this from pretty much any drug store, and it will cost you around £2.00. I definitely recommend this as just a handy little product to carry with you, and it’s definitely served me well.
If you can recommend any other lip care products for dry/chapped lips, then please let me know! Other than that, I hope you’re all having a lovely week!
