Oxford Street Haul!

I’ve had a bit of a tough time with mental health the last few weeks, so I thought I would book a couple of days off work and give myself some time to relax and do things that I haven’t had the chance to do in a long while.

I went into Oxford Street and decided that I would treat myself to a new outfit, along with some skincare products which I’ve been wanting to try out for AGES! I never just go out and buy these kind of things for myself anymore, purely because I’m constantly worrying about money, but I do think it’s important to treat yourself once in a while.

My first stop was of course TopShop, my absolute favourite clothing store! I purchased some black ‘mom jeans’ which I’ve been eyeing up for a while, and I’m in LOVE with them. I usually wear skinny jeans because I feel comfortable and confident in them, so I don’t usually branch out. And whilst I haven’t gone too crazy with the choice of jeans, it’s still something a bit different to me. I’m so glad I did change things up a bit though because I love how they fit me and how they look. You can dress them up or down, and I’ll mostly be pairing these with my vans because let’s face it, they are the only shoes I wear nowadays! They cost £40.00 which is quite expensive for jeans, but I’ve found that TopShop is one of the only stores where the jeans fit me perfectly in the way I want them to. Also, because I practically live in jeans, I do get my money’s worth from them!

Next, I popped into Forever 21 which I haven’t been in for so long! I forgot how cute the clothes are in there, and the outfit inspirations they give you. I bought an off the shoulder white top which is slightly cropped, and it has a really cute red flowery pattern. It only cost £12.00 which I thought was a really good price compared to some stores! Again, I’ve wanted to expand my wardrobe and buy things other than standard tees and sweatshirts, and this is perfect for the Summer! I’m planning on wearing it with either my new jeans, although I haven’t decided if I like the look of that outfit yet, or potentially my standard black skinny jeans. Let me know which one I should go for, or if you have any other suggestions of how I can style it out!

Primark is one of the shops that I tend to avoid, purely because it is ALWAYS super busy and I hate trying to manoeuvre my way around the store. Along with the fact that I hate super crowded places, so it really doesn’t go down well with my anxiety. However, I was in need of a new strapless bra and some ankle socks, which I don’t think is worth paying high end prices for, so Primark was the best option! I’m so glad I did go in there because I found just a plain, white, strapless bra which was perfect to wear under my new top, and it was super cheap as well at just £3.50! It fits really well and is so comfortable, which I’m happy about because usually strapless bras are so uncomfortable for me. In addition to this, I’m sure that I have a sock thief in my house as I can never find a single pair of black socks anymore! So I thought that I would finally buy some new ankle socks, which are just plain black which is fab for my vans! This cost me £1.30 for a pack of 7, and I just can’t get over how great the value was!

Finally I move onto the most exciting purchase of the day. I finally got my hands on the Liz Earle ‘Your Daily Routine’ skincare pack! I’ve heard some amazing reviews about these products and I’ve been in need of some new skincare products, so I thought that I would treat myself. I won’t go into too much detail with this as I will be uploading a full review at some point, so make sure to look out for that!

It was a successful shopping trip to say the least and it’s been so nice to have some time away from work, away from stress and giving myself the quality time to relax and unwind. I would recommend it if you’re feeling a little overwhelmed with life!

Happy Monday and I hope you all have a fab week!
